Orang sekarang tengah suka berteriak 1 Malaysia. Setiap program mesti berunsurkan no. 1, simbolik kepada Gagasan 1 Malaysia. Its good to know when people in Malaysia can actually respect each other, seeing each other as one of them. But as far as I'm concern, amat sukar untuk melaksanakan sesuatu kempen bila ada perkataan dan konsep "Satu".
History has recorded beberapa kempen kegagalan ini. Bila Jepun ingin berkuasa, mereka juga menggunakan kaedah yang lebih kurang sama dengan kempennya i.e ' Asia untuk Asia'. Kempen globalisasi oleh negara-negara di dunia juga kurang berjaya walaupun wujudnya perjanjian perdagangan seperti NAFTA dan AFTA. Dan banyak lagi boleh disenaraikan. Konsep agama sendiri tidak dapat disatukan. Sebagai contoh, di dalam Islam terlalu banyak khilaf dalam hukum sehingga menerbitkan school of thoughts yang berbeza. Kristian sendiri ada Katholik dan Protestan.
Kenapa ini berlaku? Simple. Merely because there is an element of self interest in each of the propagandas. At the end of the day, what really can be done is just go back to the basic. Live your life by the moment and focus on what is your role. As simple as that. Or is it?
A one cent opinion of mine, if you insist this one campaign to work, you got to be harsh. Look at Indonesia. Look at the free land of China. You got to push this idea harshly. By time, than it will happen as people are foced to accept it. At the same time, there must be a sense of belonging. If you can balance these two responds, it may work. Hohoho...
